Chris Murdock was born in Kingston, Jamaica. He moved to New York at the age of 7. As he matured, he started to discover his passion for creating and the ability to express himself. Chris’s artwork tends to reflect his mood at the given time. He uses very vibrant colors to depict his appreciation of other artists such Matisse and Van Gogh. His inspiration comes from those who inspire and support him to be creative including: his mother, his siblings, his close friends, and his mentor.

 

 Chris often depicts specific content such as landscapes, as they allow connectivity with nature. It is in these connections that he finds his tranquility, therapy, and revitalization to the soul and spirit. 

 

Chris is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York, where he completed their Fine Arts Program. He was also an attendee of the Art Students League of New York. It is in these institutions in which Chris developed his artistic identity.
